Christmas is all around and we are getting closer to it day by day. As it brings happiness to the home, it brings toys to the kids along with the love and affections of the friends and relatives that make those presents. Even Santa Clause brings the gifts to the children! Is it real? Of course, not exactly, because Santa is really a mythical person. But we can do some wonderful things with that mythical character.
Here is a way that we framed for ourselves. It worked at least for a couple of years until our kids grew and understood that Santa is really a fiction. We encouraged our kids to wish for their favorite toys as gifts from Santa. When they made their wishes, we made sure that we buy them and gift wrap neatly and deliver into our chimney. On the Christmas morning, the kids found their gifts and believed Santa to be the true.
Is that it all? No. One important thing we did was to write a beautiful letter and packed with the gift as if Santa has delivered some messages too. The letter narrated good things the kids have done along with some advises on their mistakes that they have performed in the past. We usually insist to improve in their academic subjects. Thus we had an opportunity to offer a gift as well as some advisory notes under the disguise of Santa. All through this December we had time to discuss and get into their minds. We also had chance to construct their buying minds to think what is good to buy and what is not.
Thanks to such mythic that is abundant in any religion and their literature.
